no, this is not regarding Paypal or PayperPost, i am not (yet) into those. what i am referring to is Post Processing, digital post processing, that is. yeah, it's about photography and i needed more than guts, kapalmuks to be exact, to post something about it.
warning though, i am no expert so forgive me, i am just experimenting.
my months in flickr, particularly in pinoy kodakero, exposed me to some techniques being used by seasoned photographers from all over, how to compose a shot, seeing things from different angles, and yes, including some stuffs on how to improve your picture.
one of them is High Dynamic Range or HDR (wiki defined it very well).
some people might be turned off by this because it may appear to be a manipulation of the image taken, but for me, as long as no part was added or removed, and only the exposures were changed, i'll give it a try. besides, i am a poor point and shoot user and might need some of these to stretch the limit of my camera.
that's the original image (long exposure), and after making two copies of it with different exposures (over and under exposures), i collate them into one picture, adjust the contrast, balance the light and more shadow, warmify it a little, put a little glow and voila! naaliw naman ako!
i think i still need more practice but for a first time effort, not bad at all. the downside of it? nakakaaliw syang gawin!

ang galing mo naman. fit for a postcard :)
galing sir... nice
Not bad at all for a first effort, I agree. Para ngang done by a seasoned photog eh. It's really good when you find that hobby that you so enjoy doing,di ba. Keep at it Zherwin. Ano, have you done any digital photobook na?
ayos yun ha. teka, may picasa din ata ako sa pc ko sa office. pag hindi na ako busy, mabusisi nga iyon.
Hmm, talagang walang atrasan na to, hehe. Go buy that DSLR already! Ask Abaniko, baka he might sell his for half the price... :-D

ay namanipulate!! hahaha joke lang win-win hehe
galing! parang nagkaron ng cobweb yung tubig. :)
Zherwin, i have tried doing it in my adobe photoshop elements. but like i told my husband, i want my photo to be exactly the way it is when i took it.
thanks lady cess, but the picture is not mine. :)
jhersey33, omar napasyal ka! salamat. :)
thanks gina, and about the photobook, i'll include that as one of my 2008 targets, nalipat kasi yung pwesto nung shop, nasa shangri-la na, medyo malayo sa akin. :)
jho, hindi ko rin alam na me mga ganito pala hehehe
rudy, pwede kayang 75% off na lang? hehehe, balik muna ako sa film kahit mas magastos and then let's see...
verns, mas gusto ko yung comment mo sa multiply hahaha. :)
fence, the original picture's already good, nabago na lang yung tone ng image nung ma-edit. but the golden and warm appearance is good, i think. :)
belle, of course nothing beats an untouched image. but i also want to learn these things to "broaden my horizon" hehe. :)
hdr is an interesting technology. I don't know medyo old school lang ata ako sa photos and wants to take the picture in its optimal condition as much as possible. Nasanay nun sa film. hehe
anyways it's a nice PP. Ayoko lang nung mga over-processed na HDR na nagiging illustration na itsura
